Here’s what others are saying

Dr. Dyson lifts the audience by providing awareness, information, insight and personal testimony. Her story helps others to craft theirs in a better, more holistic way. Her message reminded me that it is not about the destination, but the lessons you learn on the journey. She is truly one of the best speakers I have heard and I look forward to hearing her speak again.

It was a privilege to have you empower so many of us this weekend. You are hope for all! I just wanted to say thank you for being real and open about your testimony. Your monolog was breath-taking and had us all on our toes! I have never seen a presenter with so much energy, passion, and knowledge that could keep us on our toes waiting for the “next” part the way you did! Congrats to you and all of your success!

Dr. Dyson is a tour de force. The clear and compelling way in which she engages her listeners is second to none. The power of the story of her amazing journey motivates and inspires patients and clinicians alike to disengage from passivity and to become active participants in the journey from illness to wellness. I give her my highest endorsement.

I truly enjoyed listening to Dr. Dyson at my school. As a young girl, who also lost her mother I have been feeling extremely lost and hopeless. Dr. Dyson’s message not only inspired me to “step up my game, as every girl has game”, but I was literally transformed. I left her presentation feeling powerful, encouraged, and fearless! Dr. Dyson is THE best speaker I have ever had and I hope she comes back next year.

I work at a prestigious all girl catholic school here in Houston, Texas. Jinneh Dyson was asked to speak during one of our assemblies and she was simply phenomenal. The way she came out and captured the minds of young women who range between the ages of 14-18 was quite impressive. Her enthusiasm and her candidness seem to draw the girls in and they were hanging on to her every word. I was also taken aback in a good way how she encouraged the active participation of the audience. We host many speakers here at St. Agnes Academy but none of them get the girls motivated beyond their seats. Jinneh created an excitement in our hallways and she had the girls talking about how they were good enough and how they could accomplish their own dreams and possibly inspire others. Jinneh did this by sharing her powerful journey as a young girl up into adulthood. You will not be disappointed. She is an outstanding speaker and her words are sincere because they come from her heart.

We hosted Dr. Dyson for our Spring Black Graduation ceremony and she truly rocked the house! Not only did she use messaging that was relevant to the population that she was speaking to, she infused her speech with elements of her personal experience and made the entire environment light, fun, and relatable. Her story is one of trial and triumph and her delivery is both enthusiastic and engaging. Since she was speaking at a commencement ceremony, she was limited to standing behind a podium, but I could tell even from my seat (I participated as a Masters candidate) that her normal style is one of engagement through movement. She was deeply professional from our first contact to the follow-up thank you email and I believe that your students will be inspired by just being in her presence. She has a formula for leadership and success that will leave your administrators pleased with her, your students motivated by her, and your campus transformed because of her.

“Think Up, Train Up, and Turn Up”. Those were among some of the most impactful words of advice that Dr. Jinneh Dyson shared with our Resident Assistants during their recent fall staff training. As the opening guest speaker, Dr. Dyson motivated RAs on overcoming personal challenges to achieve success while helping RAs to understand how their own everyday habits influence the outcome of their lives. “What you speak is what you do; what you do is what you become”, stated Dr. Dyson. Sharing her own personal and family struggles Dr. Dyson genuinely connected with her audience about the impact of their unique leadership role, the mutual benefits of building meaningful relationships and how the each RA really can help change someone’s life for the better. Most importantly, as a best-selling author and mental health advocate, Dr. Dyson provided the RAs with useful tips concerning stress management. Dr. Dyson also noted that “the quickest way to achieve success is by helping someone else get there faster”. A sentiment that truly speaks to one of the many leadership values of our RAs. A powerful, energetic and inspiring speaker and presenter, Dr. Dyson genuinely connected individually and collectively with UNCW’s housing staff to motivate RAs on removing areas of self-doubt and developing the right mindset for powerful thinking and a successful life that leads to a fulfilled purpose. Wow is all I heard from the students today!! They were so blown away and so on fire after your presentation. I honestly can’t thank you enough for your professionalism, passion, and care for our students, and even the time you spent talking to several of them afterward. Once we put together our slideshow I’ll be happy to send you a copy. I can’t wait to work with you again!
